My Sister GraceMy sister Grace is a joy to behold A beautiful smile always on her face Courageously bold, heart of gold No one can take her place My sweet sister Grace Loves horses She is a bouquet of lilacs and lace Now, studying college courses Her will power is amazingly strong She was diagnosed with breast cancer Something had to be wrong We didn't know the answer Grace goes for her yearly mammogram Had to be some mistake Felt like receiving a bad telegram This was our Grace for goodness sake Hearing the news We prayed for her healing Had no clues Felt like some one was stealing Her spirits were low But she would face And let us know That she was full of grace Through prayers and medical care Grace embraced each day Bad days, she had her share She would fight, she wanted to stay My sister Grace is one of a kind We could never keep pace She has a brilliant mind She is our "Amazing Grace." © 2007 Janet Irene Griffin Grace, love you! My sister Grace was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002. As of today, July 17, 2007 she is a breast cancer survivor who appreciates life. Vote for this poem
