KANG (MICHAEL)
In his thirties
Perhaps shy
When I feel the flirties
He's the guy
To run to here
Write a poem
Hold him dear
Though I don't know him
He touched my heart
Full of tunes
I was a part
Of a Big Easy full moon
In front of him
Beside a speaker
Violin his whim
For this hippie girl freaker
I threw him a note
With my poetry site written
He took what I wrote
Left me smitten
That some young fiddle playin' fool
Could think this lady was cool
Twenty years older
Open and bolder
With words, not body nude
In my heart, not rude
To love you, Kang man
Because to this spirit you left a brand
A note of you in me
That set something free
It plays on the guitar in my mind
Where seeing you smile is the shine
That can take
20 years away
As I listen to the band
While all laugh, dance, sing, and play
I thank you for your spirit
You're right here and I hear it
The kindness in your song
Right here with me and I belong
To something great
Not a gram of hate
Good, free flowing
To the music keep knowing
That to breathe in the sound is best
As the entertainer or the guest
Just one of many, I'm sure
Just one with poems a plenty, I'm her
Your poet-of-heartunes fan
Who can fully understand
All the love the world will see
When String Cheese Incident sets the music free!
