Early Samhain
The veil between
The worlds is thin.
Recently I have gazed upon shades and specters of my past,
Ghosts and echoes of another time and space
Reminders of Choices and decisions made
A world where I no longer belong,
But then again, I don't want to
And like times when I visited
The in-between place,
You can walk amongst
Them, and they cannot see you.
Early Samhain
The veil between
The worlds is thin.
A specter reaches
Across the chasm
Dark eyes, words laden
With venomous distain,
A command.
Commands have always
Had the opposite effect on me.
There is a truth in the words
Just not the one
They think.
Nothing's changed.
Early Samhain
The veil between
The worlds is thin.
A old beloved sits before me
Unaware I am here
She cannot see me,
Nor can her child,
And kisses are given
To the one
I am angle to.
I still love them,
But I can't go back
Back to being sick
Back to being in relationships
Which didn't help me,
Only kept me in that dark oubliette.
Early Samhain
The veil between
The worlds is thin.
My beloved Shehe
Turns, ever so gently
My gaze to the present
And shows me the world
Shehe brought me to
“regret not where you came from.”
Two angels remind me
What caring and love are
Give, not just take
Appreciation, not just judgment
Early Samhain
The veil between
The worlds is thin
Thank you for your gift
Beloved of the Veil
Between the worlds
Thank you for each opportunity
And whatever it brings,
My gratitude for its
Loving presence
In my life.
