The Streets of Gold
The Streets of Gold
I can't wait to walk the streets of gold
With Jesus by my side
A land where people will not grow old
No need for us to hide
Where little children never die young
Where sickness won't exist
Where hymns and songs of praise are sung
Our debts have been dismissed
To savor in the warmth of the light
The presence of Christ's face
Where angels dressed in satin so white
We're saved by God's great grace
To be with all the saints of the past
Who lived their lives for Christ
Where the last are first and first are last
Where all have eternal life
I can't wait to walk the streets of gold
Enveloped by His light
Where God the Father I behold
He grants eternal life
