Butterfly
withheld from the world,
an oddity in space,
time slows for me,
i fall to the ground.
my eyes return,
my head collapses,
my blank self,
cries out loud.
still i lay,
my soul is naked,
my thoughts visible,
my needs, my wants.
between myself and me,
i choose i,
or you, if time allows,
to kill my blanket of cold.
crushed inside my own terrarium,
my lifeless soul,
flutters like a butterfly,
i strip my senses of worth.
legs squeeze,
the outer world,
my ivory tones,
are blackened with Cain.
evil enters,
my other self,
i die, i fly,
wishes of tommorrow.
when i sleep,
the monkeys come out,
and enjoy my hour,
the key was dropped into the ocean.
now the vision,
of vision itself,
seems worthless,
yet necessary.
death brings,
a welcome visitor,
if gratitude were me,
i would kill the others.
