Heart Of The Matter
Setting Sail for Arran
I'm setting sail for Arran,
My island in the mist,
I've waited long, impatient,
For her mystic company,
My crossing may be stormy,
My ship be tossed at sea,
And now and then,
A sombre cloud,
May seal my destiny,
I will not let its' beckoning,
Invade my joy filled heart,
The western breeze beseeches,
I come to play my part,
My erstwhile heart repentant,
In a spray of liberty,
I sail into the sunset,
A victim of the sea,
The ferryman awaits me,
On the far flung distant shore,
I'm setting sail for Arran,
For I've never been before.
