Truth is Smart
You think you are really wise,
But your thoughts are in disguise;
So will you listen to me,
On deception for to see.
Think of words as tasting food,
That reflects your attitude;
A sour taste on your tongue,
That may smell when it is flung.
If not understanding guilt,
Then not wise how shame is built;
Your conscience knows wrong from right,
That is revealed through your sight.
If no can look in the eye,
Then you know it is a lie;
Eyes are windows to the soul,
Tells all who is in control.
Satan turns your head away,
With a lie that you will say;
But you will look straight ahead,
If truth about to be said.
