Watching a child grow is alway so wonderful, it leaves precious memories of little things,
such as a giggle, a toothless grin, pattering of their little feet, so many
accomplishments, This poem describes the way I felt when each of mine grew up
and started their own life... Children are our true treasures in life, because
they leave footprints on our hearts that last forever.
I hear the distant echo
of a baby's giggle,
I remember the tiny toes
as they wiggle,
The sound of tiny feet
paddering across the floor,
The tiny curls in your hair
that I use to adore,
All those little memories come
rushing back to me,
For only my heart to
see,
I can feel your presense with
me when I give myself a hug,
Did you ever not know that
your my diamond in the rug.
I can still see your toothless
smile,
Lighting up the whole room
so meek and mild.
Chocolate covered kisses transferred
to my face,
Tiny fingerprints all over
this place.
I still smile at remembering
your sucess in school,
How you would never break
those golden rules,
With each passing year,
My eye would collect yet another
tear,
Knowing you'd one day you'd
be gone,
and have a life all your
own.
I remember I cried at your
graduation,
My heart was so full of love
and idolation.
While your out enjoying your
life so freely,
Baby don't forget to remember
me.
I hold these memories forever
in my heart,
I watched my angel grow so
fast from the start.
My heart swells with pride
for your every accomplishment,
I thank God each day that to me
your the one he sent,
So baby, when your busy with your
life, it's only reality,
Baby, don't forget to remember
me...
