Words will rush and flush away
In and out of hearts today
Of those who write if just to
Expose feelings to me and you
Sometimes it takes more than one read
To understand what they will feed
To their readers and them the writer
That spin their web and tales like Spiders
Some of love and some obscure
Thoughts rampant, life endured
They all will try with words to lure
Those reading them, their need and cure
We chase Rainbows, follow Sunsets
Inside our minds, it's you we let
To know what ticks inside our hearts
Most knowing peace, some torn apart
Sometimes I wish I'd write abstract
Just then maybe we would attract
The eyes of all, Poets they're called
Spilling our thoughts with words free fall
Our work more themed on one who spent
His life's journey preaching repent
To those who came and also went
Periods of prayer, fasting, advent
So we write of what it meant
To address, sometimes to vent
To touch a heart and save a soul
Poets torment and you Gods mold
