Indebted To Thine Increments
O' life thou measures my every heart beat
To thee each second I owe of my time
In haste no decision to thee I greet
lest I be fated to out of sync rhyme
Time that I fill by thine increments kept
O' long that I pray I may occupy
deeds of cheer rather than those I have wept
to fulfill what may as clock strike is nigh
My heart beating as hands move fated hours
dramatic, in sync to life's story told
to sweeten mine all before this life sours
Renew all deeds as tomorrows unfold
Life, indebted to thine increments be
give time to unlock life's secret for me
