Clouded Thoughts
Time seems to fly but not like me
Somewhat slower on bended knees
We make our way gazing upon
Fragile in mirror our youth long gone
Each bone creaks and moans of better days
Wrinkles present, soft skin gave way
Glaring past glass, we reminisce
Of yesterdays once had and miss
Arthritis and I have made a pact
Today my shoulder, tomorrow our back
We trade off pain like brokers do
Stock once handsome, sells low and few
Hairline recedes just short of bald
Haircut needed or should we stall
Another day to shave a face
Along with head, a slower pace
Left hand seems to recall a ring
On our third finger and heart it stings
Divorce cut off all it once bore
Tan line remains of it we wore
So much we had that lived and played
Now clouded thoughts with us have stayed
Seems like they keep company
Of young now old, whats left of me
Clouded Thoughts... Now where did I lose those damn dentures!
