Hit Me Love

You parked your love in the convenient palms of my hands fitting into a cozy, fleshy space

I reached out to you and started driving up an outstretched highway to your arms
Engines warmed, and souped up ready to grab you

You hit me head-on like the burst of a fallen comet from above

A heart now driven detaches from my sleeve, and lays soaked in the crimson blood of unrequited love

Next time I will close my hands and open my ears to hear the sirens' warning. Next time I will know better.
