They twist and turn into short stories
Stretching the mind beyond it's glory
Some brief, longing to turn the tide
Of secrets kept, hearts churn inside
Some facts of life, others not so
Of past and present we don't let go
Yet pain sometimes will drive its way
Through thoughts fixed in souls they lay
Scenic some paint portraits of love
Others just spew what we think of
Where time and space both will lend
A journey through these roads that bend
Some will cry what pain they feel
Others will laugh, your time they'll steal
Yet dark some will allow the writer
To bring readers, a real nail biter
Uphill and down all eyes will fix
On work in progress these roads will mix
Detours, caution, pulling to curbs
Of whats been written yet to be heard
Simple, complex, some pro's and con's
Will lift you from the ground you're on
Above white clouds that float with ease
Inside the minds some birth and tease
Low and high roads will blaze a trail
A path to somewhere, mental this mail
