She was a lively little girl
she gave my life a whirl,
but time saw it fit to see
that she be taken away from me.
Her youth has been replaced
with wrinkles on my face,
i don't want us to part
so i'll keep her in my heart.
She was so young
and many a song she sung,
but the words ring true
when i'm feeling blue.
And when i'm feeling weak
her comfort i will seek,
for time can't take away
what's in my heart to stay!
