 One Flower Under A L.A. Freeway

Pausing on the residential street rummaging thru a tattered box shoved full of old picture frames

Forgetting I only saw what I selfishly wanted while you were living

At the bottom of the pile was a carved statue of solid wood that read: #1 DAD.

I chose to believe it, accepting that the weight of your death upon me hurts.
