You are downMommy, you taught me all I know, you gave me room to grow, I'm, forever grateful. Mommy, just so you'll know, I've never let you go, I'm staying here, I'm faithful. Looking back, i see it clearly, What you were trying to teach me, At times, I had to have it my way, you were only trying to say, No matter what you are down. Mommy, I'll make this dream come true, if not for me for my baby and you. So you don't you dare worry. Mommy, there's so much I want to see, don't stop believing in me, I will be all that I can be. Sitting here, I see it bright as day, What you were trying to say. At times, I did it my own way, In my heart you always stayed, No matter what you were down. Mistakes are something I know too well, though they might hurt me, I will not fail, this life. They tell me, I'm much too young, Do they not see, what I have become, Because I refuse to give in to their words. Looking back, i see it clearly, What you were trying to teach me. At times, I couldn't help but run away, but you were only trying to say, No matter what, you are down. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
