Summer in my back yard A beautiful scenic postcard Sunlight reflecting on chair Perfection everywhere Trees happily dancing Young couple romancing Young girl's face glowing Quiet wind blowing Bird perched on fence No pretense Silent leaves falling Bird's mates chirping and calling Wind whispering through trees Pleasant sounds to thee Blue pastel painted skies Fluttering butterflies Lush grass such a treat Green carpet underneath my feet Aged tree branches stretching out Peacefulness all about Flowers in bloom Sweet scent of perfume Summer in my back yard A beautiful scenic postcard © 2007 Janet Irene Griffin Vote for this poem
