Poetry For Everyday People
Forget Not Nows Preciousness
I had to
stop time here,
now,
too many seconds
ticking,
where's love's soul
my friends?
the walls are
talking back without voice
and I'm losing time listening,
the wind tells a story
and as a friend I listen,
as I listen to love's silence,
as I hear loneliness heart beat,
where you at
in the scheme of life tonight?
are you sipping a drink? are
you the only one at the bar?
are you walking the streets remembering?
forgetting? are you daring life to take
a shot? are you dialing a familiar number
that no longer cares? are you flipping through
the box trying to land on understanding?
I'm writing to the beat of need,
the beat of reach, the beat of restlessness,
I'm writing to the eyes that shine in the night,
the hearts that live no matter the consequences,
the wind that knows no friend yet kisses candles
goodnight.
stop time here,
now,
too many seconds
ticking,
where's love's soul
my friends?
the walls are
talking back without voice
and I'm losing time listening,
the wind tells a story
and as a friend I listen,
as I listen to love's silence,
as I hear loneliness heart beat,
where you at
in the scheme of life tonight?
are you sipping a drink? are
you the only one at the bar?
are you walking the streets remembering?
forgetting? are you daring life to take
a shot? are you dialing a familiar number
that no longer cares? are you flipping through
the box trying to land on understanding?
I'm writing to the beat of need,
the beat of reach, the beat of restlessness,
I'm writing to the eyes that shine in the night,
the hearts that live no matter the consequences,
the wind that knows no friend yet kisses candles
goodnight.
