Lonely wizard
Tik…tok
Tak…
Tik… tok
Tak…
There
they go again,
Fearsome echoes
of his daily steps.
Hmmm!
Their resonance,
Amplified
by rocky chambers.
So many,
So many times.
Tik…tok
Tak…
Timely,
When drowns
the orange sun.
When darkness
will be casting nasty shadows.
Like a lonely
nocturnal fox.
Awakened now.
Walking medieval corridors.
Ascending,
All the way up there.
High up there.
Seeking a fireplace,
A warm higher dome.
Built to espy
the coastal towns.
Tik…tok
Tak…
Up,he walks.
Over ghostly dungeons.
Over secret vaults,
Loaded with rubies,
With the stolen diamonds.
An ailing man,now.
Talking to himself,
So many,
So many times.
Why did
I poison him?
The island's holy man,
He murmurs.
Hiding,in higher seas,
His comrades.
They will come back
to hunt me,
He says.
Where does he,
A crazy poet,
Weave refined prayers?
He will kill me
that man!
Roaming deserted shores,
Hiding in secret caves.
The old wizard aging.
Twice, he checks
open windows.
May be more!
His armored doors.
Aging too,
They will decamp
his useful gambits.
Through open windows,
They will take their packs.
They will board
a night breeze and leave.
Groaning,
to waste another night,
Staring at walnut shelves.
Filled with
vases and jars.
Trapped in them
elixirs,
They pacify his fears.
False potions
in ample jars.
So
Many
Different,
So
Many
Different jars.
