Heart Of The Matter
And So, I Sleep
And so I sleep,
Sleep away,
The pain,
The angst,
Head heavy,
I cast aside the burden,
I am weightless,
When sleep comes,
Cocooned,
In feather light down,
Soothed by satin shroud,
I sink deep,
In the darkness,
Of a silent room,
I hear love call,
In gentle melodies,
Of remorse,
The tender tempting,
Teases,
The tangled thought,
Smoothing,
Soothing,
The troubled night,
And so I sleep,
I hear love call,
Whispering my name,
And there comes,
Light …
And in the darkness,
Of a cold and silent room,
There is peace,
And so, I sleep.
