Best Laid Plans
I planned to go away
But you got sick
Then I had to stay
It happened so quick
Your sickness made me afraid
I didn't want you to know
Our best plans were laid
Yet, we never know how life will go
To see you in pain
Makes me hurt too
I want you well again
I will help you through
You're trying to be strong
It's certainly known
This sickness has lasted so long
You're always holding your own
We've been together
Through all kinds of strife
Right here with each other
Husband and wife
The worst times we dread
How will we endure
What obstacles lie ahead
Can we be sure
We'll faithfully pray
That you'll be fine
Recovery coming your way
And sickness left behind
We'll take a lover's holiday
Forget about our lost
We'll lavishly spend, go far away
No matter what the cost

Lovers don't finally meet somewhere.
They're in each other all along.
