Family Reunion We love one another, this I know to be true; But we only get together when we're down and blue; In times of emergency or when a loved one dies, We meet amid moans and muffled cries; When we separate we're still fighting back tears, Promise to keep in touch, not wait so many years; These words we speak from the depths of our heart, Kiss each other tenderly as we depart; We think of each other from time-to-time, Every once in a while even drop a dime; But we soon forget, life goes on as before, Until another sad event rips our hearts to the core.
