~a scarecrow's honor©

Out in the field stands,
a figure proud and tall.
With mere straw feet and hands,
he longs to scare them all.
Priding himself at being on guard,
to chase off intruders big and small.
And even though the weather can be hard,
he is there for the long haul.
When the cold winds blow,
he still stands his ground.
Nothing fears him not even the crow,
but he still feels duty bound!
