Out in the kalahari desert where the trees meet the skies,
you are protected by these little guys.
They're always on guard all thru the night and day,
and if you so wish they'll even stop to play.
They're very territorial if threatened by another,
but if you play nice they'll treat you like a brother.
Don't take my thoughts on them to any of your banks,
i just think they're mighty cute and just wanted to give thanks.
So many of God's creatures have drifted with the tide,
it's awfully nice to know there's still some on the good side.
If i ever met a meerkat i'd shake his paw and smile,
cause it's miracles like these that help make life worthwhile!
