Amazing Grace

To my granddaughter Grace who will be 15 on 15/8/07 but as she lives in New Zealand, will celebrate her birthday before she would here in Britain.

I find it so Amazing Grace
That you have turned fifteen
All the years have gone before
As if they`d never been

Baby blond and blue eyed
Toddling off to school
Reading, writing, `rithmatic
Then just being cool

Shapely hips a golden smile
Eyes so full of fun
Exams and friends and driving now!
All these things you`ve done

The kindest heart, no longer shy
To tell Nan that you care
Still my little golden girl
Although you dye your hair

My wish for you upon this day
Is all you wish for too
As I send my love through time
To wing its way to you

Mostly it`s Amazing Grace
That when your birthdays near
You will have celebrated it
Before it`s really here.
