As I sat on Praa Sands today
Something amused me I have to say,
Two collie dogs were out for the day
High on a ledge out of people`s way.
They sat in their tent watching the sea
Happy and content as two dogs could be,
One had a nap in the noon day sun
While the other watched all the fun.
Their bowl of water was by their side
No way could they drink the incoming tide,
Good as gold they never made a peep
Some of the time though they were asleep.
Next time I looked they had up`d and went
A nice day at the beach they had spent,
Must be nice to have no worries or strife
Now I know why they call it `A Dogs Life`.
