From the Heart Through the Pen

Time Brings Thoughts

Here it is twelve twenty
I look at my chain
With a glimpse of hope
That you're thinking of me
Go into my inbox
Praying for an e-mail
But nope there's nothing there

I stare into your eyes
Thinking about their desires
This woman standing near by
I look at her
Wishing it were you
But all I have is this picture
To relieve me of this pain
That my heart endures

I think back to us
Then I'm reminded of the lies
And all the false alibis
It's no surprise
How we came to this road
It really is true
You do reap what you sow
Oh how I miss My Rainbow

If only we took the path of the Lord
Why'd it take me till now
To finally absorb
Where we should have went
All the wasted time
Righteously on our love
It could have been spent
