Rhymes of the Heart

Gods Anchor

It's the last leg of my journey
I'm not sure of where I sail
The heart of a non-believer
Lost in a mighty gale

Tossed about this sea of doubt
Where truth and lie collide
All because I turned my back
And God I have denied

Tell me its not too late
As lightening flashes all around
Let me know You hear me
Before the waters pull me down

As the storm rages outside
It's the one inside I fear
God hast thou forsaken me
As my time grows near

The wind becomes a tempest
The waves a mountain in my wake
Lord forgive this sinner
My soul is yours to take

The turbulent waters rushing in
Its fathoms call to me
But I have found peace within
Gods anchor set me free
