A messenger will prepare the way,
For the Lord as He returns to stay;
Exactly what day we do not know,
We have to be set when He will show.
Suddenly His temple will appear,
That the non-believers will feel fear;
For they thought that it was all a joke,
As the Scripture through the prophets spoke.
The messenger comes with desire,
With the promise to light the fire;
Like a furnace that purifies gold,
And is fueled by brimstone I am told.
While pollution will choke the air,
As it singes the clothes that you wear;
Gentiles that have never been saved,
Will die in the sin they are enslaved.
But those who are faithful and redeemed,
Will be rewarded in ways never dreamed;
For those who have been doing right,
And be finding favor in His sight.
