A sword by itself rules nothing

A sword by itself rules nothing. It only comes alive in skilled hands
For it takes the actions of a human being to create its plans
Thoughts by themeselves are harmless in someones head
But followed through and you'll end up taking a different path instead
I gave her the sword and pointed the tip against my chest
I gave her the chance to hurt me or not, it was my final test
If she had laid down the sword we would have been together for eternity
But instead she plunged that blade right in to me
Free will and choice is a powerful tool
But it seems to me you wanted it all
At least now in death, there is nothing worse for me too feel
And in the afterlife I'm reborn and will become more real
I guess that in love and dreams you simply forgot?
And turned into an emotionless robot
Where to survive you would slay and murder your best friend
And with one mercenary stroke with the sword you brought us to an end
There is no room for mercy in the ending of love and lust
But by choosing to kill me, you also killed my trust
So now I venture forth beyond this universe
Lifted  and free from loves cruel games and faithless curse.
