 The Mistress of Word Play

Humpty Dumpty Mistress Style

A bit of whimsy is good for the soul. Presenting the distorted version of the classic nursery rhyme by yours truly.

Humpty Dumpty he was so fat
no wonder he fell when on the wall he sat.
He should have lost a little weight
instead of always cleaning his plate.

He couldn't ever find any clothes.
Just watch as his waistline grows and grows.
Poor thing he never knew when to quit
so his clothing never seemed to fit.

Too big to work, or to run and play.
He climbed upon the wall that day.
Down he spiraled, down he fell.
You know the story, it didn't go well.

His shell it cracked and stuff ran out.
His life force left him without a doubt.
They brought the skillet and frying pan
and through his shell into the trash can.
