R A I N D R O P
A miniscule glittering pearl
Such a staggering beauty
Though fallen from dismal sky
Each exquisitely formed
Abseiling downward
On invisible rope
One after the other they fall
Landing on soft cushions of field
Where crops wait and
Anxiously guzzle the sweet juice
Roots push eagerly
Pressing new leaves to break the soil
Venturing into
A world unknown
