Fantasy football rules my life
If it were legal I'd make it my wife
From August till May
Everything stops at 3pm on a Saturday
We use the original game in the Daily Telegraph
It's so much fun and a real good laugh
My team of players hand picked by me
Include the likes of Wayne Rooney
5pts for a goal 3 for an assist
But –5 for a penalty missed
£50million to spend on 11 players
1 goalkeeper, 4 defenders 4 midfielders and 2 attackers
You have 30 subs to use for a season
My advice would be make sure you use them for a good reason
I am in a league of mates and friends of friends
All who worship the football at weekends
The winner of our super league wins lots of money
And friendships become strained which isn't funny
The lies and cheating about whose in each others team
Is like a sketch from a James Bond scene
My brother will phone me up non-stop for news
And asking me advice about what player to chose
Sometimes when you have a bad scoring week
Down the pub that night no one will speak
It's a new religion sweeping the country
You know you want to play, it is your destiny.
