I soldier on
I soldier on...,
When things get hard.
I keep on going,
Through good and bad.
I soldier on...,
Even though its tough,
Sometimes i feel so low,
And begin to give up.
But...
I soldier on...,
So i can reach the finish line,
And then look back knowing,
That i survived despite running miles.
I soldier on...,
Holding on to the hope,
That i will see closure,
And that will help me to cope.
I soldier on...,
And one day ill be free,
He'll pay for every dreadful thing,
That he did to hurt me.
But...
That day seems so distant,
A hope without meaning.
To be a survivor,
awaiting the healing.
But...
When that day comes,
I will take off my mask.
And confront that monster,
And show my strength when i attack back.
