 The Taking Of Bermondsey
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The taking of Bermondsey
The land of alcohol dependency
Where the council flats fly the red white and blue
And skinheads mingle in the local park-sniffing clue
South East London, SE1 postcode
The address of the homeless man with no fix abode
Muffled sounds of deep throbbing bass
Come from cars in the disabled parking space

The taking of Bermondsey
The land of the not so free
Where lamp posts out number trees
And on every corner you'll find the hoddies
Texting for drugs on their mobile phone
Or breaking into someones home
Pissed up ally ways and Spray painted walls
No place for outdoor swimming pools

The Taking of Bermondsey
A suburb full of intensity
Crack dealers and loose needles
And tattooed men walking their pitballs
Boarded up shops and run down streets
Where no policeman walks their beats
But with the rough comes the smooth
And so I am hired for this fact to prove
Cause Bermondsey has a new man in town
Challenged to turn this place upside down
So yes I have come to take you on Bermondsey
Clean you up; sort you out and for you to take on me.
