Absent Minded

Glistening

count your blessings
as you listen to the beautifull sounds
of nature or the muse of harmony of sounds composed
stare into the dream of light glistening from an object
like i do in the morning on my coffee cop
and in this reality i see the dream
a dream within a dream
for there are the most beautifull things
like looking at clouds
if you look long enough you will see
many things
the beautifull things
the things of your dreams

The hallways of endless mansions
and forests of fairytales
stages of the greatest singers
and sometimes laughing lovers
and fields and houses
in the light and darkness
the reflection and sahdow of the lustre and light
of the objects sitting around that no one notices

Glistening in the lustre of the light of everything from gold to ceramic
to tile
like staring into the door of another world
like looking at the sky for shapes of clouds
like dropping wax ina bowl of water to tell a fortune
these figments of your imagination will move you
they will

Where your mind roams
what you think you should be seeing and what should be reflected
sometimes an extra object
like a crystal ball
a little movie in everything
a little stage in the light and darkness
glistening in everything for you to witness
a miracle of everyday

so now that you know where to look
look into the side of glistening object
and let your mind focus and wander
see the shapes and figures and take notice
and see
and realise what you are hearing as you do
wether it be silence or nature or conversation
and realise
in the light and darkness of lusterous objects
glistening in the daylight
coming in through the window
the white magic takes its effect
and you can see it everywhere glistening
romancing plastic cups
and making promises on drops of dew
before they kiss the ground

I see a woman walking down a hallway
with a microphone she sings
the background changes
and the curtain opens and she walks off the stage
I see the acts of the greater good
glistening in the light
ricocheted off of sound from the back of my mind
and subconciously my mind plays them out
i see it
and i know where to look
I see faces in clear plastic when im not looking directly in
I see empty beds
and forests
I see river boats and fields of speckled flowers
the greatest stage remains in the light
glistening
taking me away
sweeping me off my feet
and i kno wthat is why i open my eyes everyday
and the light creeps into the darkness everynight

and the dark creeps into the light if we let it
but one day we reserve aplace in the stage of light to glisten too
