 Carmen

There was a young girl from Cuba that nearly drowned by the shore,
her and her family came here for freedom like so many have before.
She has had a great life with her kids and many things,
her life had been quit different for not what freedom brings.
She's now an educator teaching young minds to grow,
living in the tropics in a continent below.
I have had the pleasure to talk with her at times,
we both have good time and each of us write rhymes.
She is a lovely poet her quill runs deep inside,
her words are filled with passion and emotions some do hide.
We both lived in the same place quite some time ago,
there we were plagued with three hundred inch of snow.
She had her children in the same hospital as mine,
funny we didn't meet back ago in time.
She's quite a lovely lady it aspires from deep within,
one could never find a more lovely sincere friend.
Carmen is a treasure one so rare to find,
maybe our paths will cross in the future that we find.
Stan
