 Wishes
Wishes
Don't walk past that penny pick it up my friend,
and go toss it in a well that has water still within.
Make a secret wish and then don't ever tell,
or it will be cursed from your wishing well.
If your wish comes true and you get everything you asked,
keep it's origin safe and the wells location masked.
For wishes do come true to those that believe they can,
there's a special gift between a wish and every man.
Many wish upon all the stars so bright,
and when their wish comes true it gives their soul delight.
Never waste a wish for we have so few to find,
and make sure it's what you want or it may torment your mind.
Don't wish for a long life just take each day by day,
and always be careful of the wishes that you say.
Stan
