Petals In The Grass

Alone

Emotions disseminated
Fervency missed
Hands need to be touched
Lips that need to be kissed

I feign my own happiness
Make believe for awhile
On the outside stands a man
The inside a little child

Being unloved is such a disgrace
Firm in my resolve
Determined to push people away
My self-esteem dissolves

Delirium takes over
Can take it no more
Just a little affection
Like I had before
