 New Life

Remember to plant a tree for every casket you see,
for each of the Veterans that have kept our life free.
Remember to say a verse, for every flag and Black Hearse,
for the gallant women and men who all served from within.
Before it's your time, to reach the end of the line,
I pray you and your loved ones are at home soon in time.
In all you may do love the Red, White and Blue,
for there's few countries you see that really let you be free.
I salute you, my comrades, both living and dead,
there's no stronger words than the oath you've said.
Thank you all for standing so tall,
putting the quest for freedom, for one and for all.
May you receive an extra stripe on your sleeve,
for the duties you've had that may have been bad.
Thank you all once again from my heart deep within,
may you all return home safe and your new life begin.
