Heart Of The Matter
A Love Affair, Foretold
I opened up my heart to you,
You delved deep in my soul,
I made my bold confession,
Secrets previously untold,
I parcelled up my passion,
Gift wrapped with satin bow,
A card attached that told you,
It's from one; who loves you so,
And with some trepidation,
I awaited your reply,
It came embossed with stardust,
That fell from moonlit sky,
An angel choir stood witness,
They watched the love unfold,
Delighting in the story,
Of a love affair foretold,
A marriage made in heaven,
To death and to beyond,
A love that can't be broken,
True loves eternal bond.
