Ones Poetry
The gift to write what pulls the strings
Inside of one whose heart will fling
The good and bad, happy and sad
Tacky, wacky maybe a tad
Your gift different than mine given
By sentiment sometimes driven
To reel you in to know of me
To wish you well and GODS speed
Many will write and challenge you
To think it out, the smart and few
Different, Hell yea! what can I say
Respect your work I'll read today
Some will ask but have you tried
To read of him and her there lies
A true poet as if this gift
Was theirs alone, not yours a bit
I rhyme with reason and share GODS word
With hope to please and not disturb
But there are those pompous and crude
Who burst bubbles with attitude
My guess is that some think they are
Above average or superstars
The next Edgar, that's Allan Poe
Respond I would I don't think so
Be the you God made to share
His work in words what your heart bares
Don't let the few that cram with spite
Remarks they spew upon your site
