Unity with Christ
As a prisoner of the Lord,
I beg you to live in a way;
By His Word and not of the sword,
Staying worthy every day.
Always be gentle and humble,
As you patiently share your love;
Never to be rude or grumble,
Or being conceited thereof.
Try your best to allow His Spirit,
In your heart to unite with Him;
Leave open not to inhibit,
And life will never seem so grim.
Do this while living in peace,
In one body you are the same;
As your hostilities will cease,
Since you are now bearing His name.
There is just one Father to all,
As one Lord, one faith and one birth;
Being His children to enthrall,
Because He knows our true worth.
