 Exile
Beyond Moab,
The shy misty mountain.

Five thousand miles
and beyond,

Sleeps my homeland;

Ancient,

Orphan,

And dying,

Now!

Seeking my help
in vain,

As I wither away
in this cell.

Beyond Moab,
Dark spheres and he sleeps
my homeland;

Neglected,

Dispirited,

Isolated,

Misled,

And calling.

Calling me,
Now.

Only me!

Of all mankind.

To mount,
I ride the clouds.
To soar I glide
the flying carpet,

Overtaking vibrant winds,
I shall descend
on white castles,
Where he nestles
by the sea.

I must land.
I must see him
at his deathbed.

Charmed by fancy dreams,
I had me sacred medicine
to lay his ghosts.

Rekindle him, for sure.
He can't fall
on me no more.

Standing tall,
He should be.

Walking straight
He will be.

Conversing with me,
Along solemn rosy halls.

Childish magic,
I shall bear,

To rive them demons,
Rampant in his soul.

Ere-long,
He regains
cheerful balance.

Like an honest boy,
I'll embrace him
so dearly.

Graciously,
Over his massive shoulders,
Aching tears can rest.

At last they fall.

Beyond Moab,
Sleeps my homeland,

When these but
mere echoes of weary calls.

Alone,
And my chin deeply torn,
Long worn by resting
on sharp filthy steel.

My face, pale.
Anguished, my face.

Eyes,
Racked them,
their restive gazing zeal,
Came spoiled-brown.

Drowsy head,
Swinging,
Left and right,
Up and down.

Right and left,
Snaping swift,
Signs of life
outside a musty window,
Pleading shimmering lights,
They were leading
to my homeland.

Fain I have sailed
to warmest shores
and noble winds
inflated my longing sails.

But soon,
I'll escape and run,
Tear them down
colossal walls
with bare and naked hands.

Soon,
When bursts a holy dawn.
In a worthless boat,
I'll escape and run.

Home again.

Defiant,
I rage I am.
Forging winds,
The violent waves.

Drifting,

Shun me ports,
Shun me piers.

Luring me a fine breeze
and leading me,
The gulls at seas.

Guiding me to espy
a glimpse of light.
When casting anchor
mine plight.

Happy at last,
I am back,

My homeland.
