Tainted

Sometimes man himself wishes to touch thee, O stars
But my angels, his arms are too short
         behind these bars
And if thou are touched thou shall fade
The hands of man must be bathed
I remember what happen to the earthen flower
When she got touched and she lost her power
Though he held her beauty,
O so gently in his hands
There she died like the tainted man
