There was a man named zed,
he worked all day just to
keep his family fed,
One day while working his
fingers to the bone,
Someone called him on
the telephone,
They said zed why do ya
work so hard?
You're always looking
ragged and tired,
zed sighed as he answered
softly,
Aww I have to work just
to satisfy my family,
Well give it up my friend
you've worked all day,
Answer my call I warn you
to obey,
Your heart has weakened
your not the man you use
to be,
Take heed and listen, listen
to me.
zed wasn't much to listen to
the man,
There wasn't much that he
really cared to understand,
He hung the phone up as he
shook his head,
then he drug himself off
silently to bed,
During the night the angel
came to him again,
and said come with me zed
my friend,
you've paid the price, you've
given all to your family,
now it's time to come
a long with me,
Now he was a man who worked
hard all his life,
Taking care of his kids
and his wife,
Never taking time to relax
and enjoy,
The little moments with his
wife, daughter and little boy,
Time is short here on earth
as we've been told,
No matter how if we work all
day, I know it sounds bold,
You got to make time for those
little moments in life,
With your kids and especially
your wife,
So work your fingers to the bone
for a while,
then stop and look at that smile,
of your kids or your wife,
and cherish that moment for the
rest of your life,
No resting but working all day
to keep your family fed,
your gonna end up like this man
name zed.
