Exhaustion lined her face
Tears had worn a path through
Her already pallid complexion
She knew she had reached the lowest ebb
That place they call rock bottom
If only she had listened
To that inner voice
Begging her not to fall
Outlining worrying thoughts
Knowing that at the drop of a hat
She would be bound
By heart strings
To this complex man
She found herself irretrievably foundering
In the deepest waters of unrequited love
