A lost feather in the breeze
hardly missed, birds in the trees.
The birds they chirp a happy song
as that feather floats along.
Through the air it floats with ease,
it flows along with the breeze.
This lonely feather finally lands,
soon to be picked up by a child's hands.
As curiosity fills a young mind,
about the birds and of their kind.
Watch them fly and soar through the sky,
a child usually wants to know "why?"
Questions come and answers flow,
that is if the parents know.
The best education it must be
is not just what the child can see.
More is learnt by the use of hands,
it meets a young child's own demands.
While in their environment, a safe one too
exploring is something a child likes to do.
