 This Lonely Man

This Lonely Man

There is no one who loves me
There is no one who cares
I am just a lonely shadow
Floating high in the air

My feelings go unnoticed
So I hold them deep inside
I know it doesn't matter
If I lived or I died

I see all sorts of lovers
Holding hand in hand
I sit and wonder
What is wrong with this man?

As hard as I try
I always seem to fail
This game they call love
Leaves this lonely heart frail

I see women getting hurt
By the one that they love
How long will this go on
Before they've had enough

When right before their eyes
Is a man with a heart
Who is willing to share it
From the very start

But they do not seem to notice
As they push me to the side
Leaving me defenseless
So it's time for me to hide

I've come to accept it
I will never have true love
So I'm waiting for the moment
When I'm taken up above
