We are Slaves
Even with salvation,
We are not free to sin;
Just because addiction,
And corrupted within.
For the kindness of God,
We are being ruled by;
Not by an iron rod,
Falling out of the sky.
You are still as a slave,
Whoever you obey;
But be free of the grave,
From God you do not stray.
Being a slave to sin,
And you shall surely die;
Having no discipline,
Unto the Lord on High.
But to have a new start,
Abide by what is taught;
Christ will give a clean heart,
And doing as you ought.
